Versioned by date

Every API version is a date, such as 2026-08-04. Your account is pinned to the version you integrated against, and you upgrade when you choose to.

Ninety days notice

Breaking changes are announced here with a stated notice period of at least ninety days before they ship, never inside a patch release.

Twelve months of support

Deprecated endpoints keep working for twelve months from the deprecation date, so a migration is scheduled work rather than an emergency.

2026-08-04Added

Tickets can now carry course numbers and hold times, and the display releases each course on the pass rather than all at once.
Existing tickets without course data behave exactly as before, so no migration is required.

Link pages now read the same theme tokens as the guest ordering site, so a brand change propagates without regenerating links.
Links issued before this change repaint on next load.

2026-07-28Fixed

A retry path could deliver the same event twice when a partner endpoint timed out at exactly the retry boundary.
Delivery is now keyed on the event id for the full retry window.

inventory.item.low and inventory.item.depleted now fire against recipe-level consumption, not just manual stock counts.
Both events are available on the same signed webhook channel as order events.

The two-step quote and confirm flow collapses into one idempotent call that returns the settled order.
The two-step flow keeps working and is scheduled for deprecation notice, not removal.

POST /devices/pair is replaced by POST /devices with an enrollment token, which survives factory reset.
The old endpoint keeps working for twelve months from this date.

Every list endpoint now returns a stable cursor, so exports no longer skip rows when data changes mid-page.
Offset pagination remains available and unchanged.

Uneven splits could leave a one cent remainder unassigned on tickets with mixed tax rates.
The remainder is now applied to the first payer and shown in the receipt breakdown.

Large exports now return a job id and a signed download URL instead of holding the connection open.
Exports under ten thousand rows still return inline.
